Two treated in hospital after Ballymena attack

Police in County Antrim have appealed for information following an assault yesterday evening in which two men were injured.

The incident happened in the Cushendall Road area of Ballymena at around 8.15pm, when the men aged 20 and 44-years-old came under attack.

The pair were taken to hospital where the 20-year-old was treated for head injuries.

One man has been arrested in connection with the attack.

Police do not believe the incident to have had a sectarian motive and have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or have any information in connection with it to contact them in Ballymena on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Two Men Arrested In £500,000 Drug Seiure In South Belfast
Two men have been arrested in connection with a £500,000 drug seizure following searches in South Belfast. On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Class B controlled drugs were recovered from both vehicles which were also subsequently seized.
