Pedestrian injured in County Derry collision
Police in County Londonderry have appealed for witnesses following a road traffic collision yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened in the Fair Hill area of Magherafelt shortly after 4.30pm, when an elderly man was struck by a vehicle.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he received treatment for a fractured skull.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
