Funeral held for west Belfast murder victim

The funeral has taken place of a 38-year-old woman who was murdered at her home in west Belfast earlier this month.

Hundreds of mourners attended the service at St John the Baptist Church on Suffolk Road earlier today.

Grace Moore, from the Erris Grove area of the city was last seen alive after leaving a nightclub in the Howard Street area of Belfast at around 2am on November 18.

She was later found dead at her home. It is understood that she had been stabbed.

A 22-year-old Nigerian man was charged with her murder last week.

31-year-old north Belfast murder victim Conor McKee was shot a number of times, police have revealed. Mr McKee was found dead by his mother at his Glenpark Street home last Thursday night. Two men arrested over the murder have been released on bail.

Mother of IRA murder victim dies
The mother of an IRA murder victim whose body was never found, suffered a major stroke last week and died in Craigavon Area Hospital. 82-year-old Vera McVeigh campaigned for the return of her son's body after the IRA secretly buried his body in 1975.

Woman Charged With Attempted Murder
A 27-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after two police officers were attacked with pipe bombs in north Belfast. The woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of explosives with intent to endanger life and preparation of terrorist acts.

Attack On North Belfast Home Treated As Hate Crime
Police are treating an attack on a house in north Belfast as a hate crime. Masked men smashed the windows at the front of a property in the Crumlin Road area just after midnight on Wednesday. Three men fled from the scene on foot. A police spokesperson said: "This incident is being treated as a hate crime and enquiries into the matter are ongoing.
