Arson attack in Dunmurry

Police in Dunmurry have appealed for information following an arson attack at a factory in the area over the weekend.

The Fire and Rescue service, along with police were called to the Kilwee Industrial estate in the town at around 2.40am on Sunday, following reports that an oil tank had been set alight, causing major damage to a wheelchair components factory in the process.

The outer wall of the premises collapsed during the blaze and the roof and interior of the property were severely damaged.

A van, which was also set alight during the incident, was also destroyed.

Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information in connection with it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Teenagers Arrested After Car Set Alight, L'Derry
Two teenage boys have been arrested after police responded to a large group of young people congregating in the Shantallow area of L'Derry where a car had been set alight. Officers were responding to a report of a group of about fifty young people on the Racecourse Road at Greehaw Crescent on Saturday night.

Investigation Launched Following Arson Attack In Downpatrick
Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack in Downpatrick, County Down. The back door of a house was set alight on Monday at around 3.20am. The door was destroyed and the inside of the property sustained smoke damage. It is understood the house is currently unoccupied.

Arson Attack On Bangor Flats
A number of flats had to be evacuated after an oil tank was set alight in Bangor. Police are treating the the incident as arson. At around 10.40pm on Tuesday the emergency services were call to the fire in the Victoria Road. Substantial damage was caused to two flats, however there were on reports of injuries.
