Police question three over attempted raid
Police are questioning three men following what is believed to have been an attempted kidnapping and robbery at the Yorkgate shopping complex.
As part of the police operation a car was rammed. Police said that a substantial sum of money had been recovered.
It is reported that the Post Office was the intended target and that staff were to be used in an attempt to take hostages to force staff to co-operate with the alleged raid.
Two men were arrested a short time later and a third man was arrested in the New Lodge area.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of an off duty police officer in L'Derry. A viable under car bomb was found outside the house of the officer in the Ardanlee area on 22 February. The suspects are aged 43 and 59.
