NI glazing firm creates 300 jobs

An Antrim-based firm is to create 300 jobs as part of a multi-million pound investment.

Camden Group, which manufactures energy efficient double glazed units, also announced it has acquired Co Tyrone based K McAnallen Ltd, trading as Pilkington K’Mac.

It is believed the company will be renamed Camden Glass, and employment for the 95-strong workforce will be secure at the Benburb plant.

Managing Director of the group, Kieran Lavery, confirmed over 1,000 people will be employed after the new posts are filled.

He said: “This is a very important step for Camden and is in line with our strategic growth plans, which include providing a range of quality products using the latest technologies to enable us to expand business opportunities to existing markets as well as reach new markets.”
