Two die in car crash

Garda have said that one of the vehicles involved in a fatal car crash near Dundalk had a Northern registration and had been stolen.

The crash occurred at 3am on Sunday on the Carlingford Road.

David Keenan 17, from Culfore in County Louth, a front seat passenger in one car, and 64-year-old George Campbell from Jenkinstown, the driver of the other vehicle, lost their lives in the smash that occurred near Annaloughan in County Louth.

A female passenger is said to be in a critical condition in Drogheda Hospital.

Irish police said that they have interviewed the 18-year-old driver of the car.

He is being treated for injuries at a Drogheda Hospital.

Hospital Parking Charges Temporarily Removed
The Department of Health has warned of possible disruption at hospital sites over the next week, advising patients, visitors and staff to leave extra time to get to appointments or when accessing hospital sites. The warning comes after hospital parking charges were unexpectedly suspended.
