Students get a better deal from Sx3

Newtownabbey-based IT services company, Sx3 has been awarded a three-year extension to its current IT services contract at the University of Ulster.

The company, which has held the contract since 1996, will continue to service the University's four campuses and around 4,000 items of IT equipment which require an on-going service and repair.

Commenting on the deal which was chased by many of the world's leading IT companies, Maurice McFarland, Senior Users Services Officer of the University of Ulster, said: "IT performance and reliability is a top priority for students and staff at the University and this has been reflected in the level of service which we have received from Sx3.

"In addition to being a local company, Sx3's skilled staff have an excellent track-record and have repeatedly provided a quick, efficient and cost-effective service which ensures our staff and students can rely on the IT infrastructure throughout the University network."
