O’Driscoll voted player of the Six Nations

Ireland rugby captain Brian O’Driscoll has been voted the RBS Six Nations Player of the Championship for the second successive season.

O’Driscoll was chosen by fans who logged on to the official Six Nations website to record their dream team. The Leinster player comfortably topped the vote, collecting more than twice the amount of votes than his nearest rival.

He said: “There were some outstanding players and performances in this year’s RBS Six Nations Championship, so I was very surprised to learn that I had been voted as player of the tournament.

“I am obviously honoured and delighted to have won this accolade, and would like to thank those fans who voted for me.”
