Police recover goods worth up to £60,000

The Police Service of Northern Ireland have recovered suspected stolen goods worth up to £60,000 following a planned search of premises in east Belfast.

DVD players, CD players, mobile phones, videos, camcorders, computer game consoles and computer equipment were found at premises at Ashford Green in the Sydenham area of the city.

The search was carried out on Monday by the east Belfast police crime force task unit.

Police said they believed the goods were taken from an electrical store in Newtownabbey sometime around the 7th or 8th December.

Car accessories including alloy wheels and in-car stereo systems were also recovered on the premises during the raid alongside suspected cannabis resin, with street value worth in the region of £1,000.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Police recover £750,000 worth of cigarettes in Lisburn
Police in Lisburn have recovered a quantity of cigarettes worth around £750,000 following the hijacking of a van at around 8.30am this morning. The delivery van was travelling in the Mount Eagles area of the city when three men, one of whom was armed, approached the van driver and co-driver.

Counterfeit goods seized at local markets
Police have seized counterfeit goods worth an estimated £40,000 at markets over the weekend. At Nutt's Corner market on Sunday police seized counterfeit goods worth an estimated £31,000, including music CDs, computer games, videos and DVDs.

Three People Released On Bail Following Cannabis Seizure
Three people arrested in following the seizure of cannabis in Maghera on Thursday have been released on bail. Cannabis plants worth approximately £125,000 were seized as well as two firearm and fireworks during house searches. Two women and a man were arrested on suspicion of possession and intent to supply.
