Three men appear in court following Derry riots

Three men are to appear in court in Londonderry today following serious rioting in the city centre on Saturday.

Two of the men are charged with riotous behaviour while the other man is charged with attempted hijacking.

A further seven men have been charged with disorderly behaviour and are to appear before the city's Magistrates Court on December 30.

The rioting occurred as the Apprentice Boys of Derry marched through the city during their annual Lundy Day parade.

Rival factions clashed as police attempted separate the two sides.

Police have said they expect more arrests to be made once CCTV footage has been examined.

Appeal For Information On Aggravated Burglary In Cookstown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of an aggravated burglary at the Queens Avenue area of Cookstown on Friday 3rd February. Shortly after 10pm, it was reported that four masked men entered a property in the area with one of the men armed with an iron bar and another man armed with a suspected firearm.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.

Body Of Michaela McAreavey Arrives Home
The body of Michaela McAreavey has now arrived home to Northern Ireland. Members of the Harte and McAreavey families met with the plane carrying her body at George Best Belfast City Airport. Michaela, 27, the daughter of Tyrone Gaelic Football Manager Mickey Harte, was found strangled on Monday while on honeymoon.

Primark Donates £500,000 To Support Businesses Affected By Fire
Retailer Primark is donating £500,000 to Belfast City Council's City Recovery Investment Fund. The fund is being set up after a number of businesses have been severely affected by the fire at the Bank Buildings which happened over three weeks ago. A cordon remains in place and 14 firms have been closed for up to four months.
