Orange Order condemn attack

The Orange Order has condemned an attack on several buses taking some of its members home from July Twelfth parades in County Armagh.

Windows were broken on the four vehicles which were carrying loyalist bandsmen at they travelled along Friary Road at about 4.15pm.

Orangemen said cars were also targeted by a group of about 30-40 people.

One person was taken to hospital following the attack.

An Orange Order spokesperson said it was a disgraceful and violent attack on people who were returning from celebrating their culture and heritage with their friends.

A local Sinn Féin councillor said the attacks were wrong and the PSNI is investigating.

Orange Order hall damaged in arson attack
An Orange Order hall in Loughgall, Co Armagh has been badly damaged in an arson attack. The fire was discovered at around 10.30am on Sunday morning. Bibles and photographs were among a number of items destroyed by the blaze. Ulster Unionist MLA, Danny Kennedy described the attack as cowardly and said it was obviously "the work of mindless bigots".

Investigation Launched After Arson Attack On Orange Hall In Newry
Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack on an Orange Hall near Newry. Tyres were stacked against the rear of Altnaveigh Orange hall on Saturday evening, 25 February. Damage was caused to the roof of the property after the tyres were set on fire. Partial smoke damage was also sustained to the inside of the building.

Union Flag Stolen From Ardinariff Orange Hall
A Union flag has been stolen from an Orange Hall near Dungiven, Co L'Derry. The flag was pulled from the roof of Ardinariff Orange Hall and the flag pole was also destroyed. A spokesman for Limavady District LOL No 6 condemned the flag theft as a "hate crime". He said: "The Orange community in Dungiven is disgusted at this deeply offensive act.
