Armagh girl awaits new liver transplant

A County Armagh family are devastated after their little girl's body rejected a new liver.

Erin Nicks, aged two years and eight months, is back on the organ transplant list after undergoing an eleven hour liver transplant operation at a Birmingham hospital two years ago.

Erin is currently at the same hospital until a suitable organ becomes available.

After the operation her body appeared to be accepting her new liver until she fell ill in February this year.

Erin and her family, who are from Whitecross in south Armagh, flew back to Birmingham last week where they will remain until a suitable liver can be found.
