Five arrested at Tara protest
Five people arrested at the Hill of Tara are due to appear in court in Navan, County Meath.
Gardai said that the five people were arrested on Wednesday morning following an incident involving construction workers.
Protestors have been demonstrating against the construction of the M3 motorway in County Meath.
Gardai were called to the scene this morning after construction workers alleged that they had been prevented from working as protestors had climbed onto equipment.
A protest has been continuing in a long-term campaign to prevent the motorway being built in the archaeologically sensitive Tara area.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.
