Fresh Appeal Following County Antrim Drowning
Police have made a fresh appeal for information regarding the death of a man whose body was found in the sea off the County Antrim coast.
The man found at the weekend was Liam McKeegan, 20, from Cushendall.
Mr McKeegan’s body was found on the shoreline at Garron Road in Waterfoot, County Antrim at around 1.00pm on Sunday.
Police said they were keen to establish the whereabouts of a second man who they believe was with Mr McKeegan at about 4.00am in the Cushendall area.
He is described as being between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 9ins tall, of slim to medium build with bad skin, yellowish teeth and short dark hair at the sides and longer on top. He was in his late teens to early 20s.
It is understood that he was wearing a scruffy black coat and spoke with a Belfast accent.
Police have appealed for anybody with any information to come forward, especially two men camping on the beach at Waterfoot.
The pair stayed near to the river mouth overnight on Saturday and are thought to have been camping in a small tent and were driving a dark saloon car.
