Pensioner attacked and robbed at home over the weekend

A pensioner has been attacked and robbed in her south Belfast home over the weekend.

The woman, who is in her 70's, was attacked at around 5pm on Saturday after two men called at her home at Wamsbeck Street in the Stranmillis area of the city.

The men dragged her into the house by the hair and verbally abused her before ransacking her home and making off with £20.

Police have described one of the men as being in his mid-30's, around 5'8" in height, of medium build and wearing a blue checked shirt and denim jacket.

The second suspect was described as being about 5ft 10in, with dark hair.

Pensioners robbed in separate incidents
A pensioner has been attacked and robbed in his home in north Belfast yesterday evening. The 65-year-old man was in the living room of his Carntall Road home, in Newtownabbey, when three men burst in at around 5pm. The men demanded money and beat the man across the head and body with an iron bar.

Pensioner attacked and robbed in own home
An elderly pensioner has been attacked and robbed at his home in County Down. The 80-year-old man was assaulted when two men forced their way into his home at Flagstaff Road, Newry. The attack, which happened around 8pm on Monday September 10, saw the two men punch the victim, knocking him to the ground, before stealing his wallet.

Katebridge pensioner robbed in home
Detectives in Banbridge have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed in his Katesbridge home. A gang of around three men, forced their was into the 79-year-old victims house at around 2pm yesterday, and threatened him before making off with a number of his possessions.

Men Attacked In Home With Hammers
Masked men have forced their way into a house in north Belfast and attacked two males with hammers and bats. Detectives are appealing for information following the incident, which occurred at a house in the Gainsborough Drive area on the evening of Friday 10 October.
