Specialist Recruitment Consultancy Announces NI Expansion
Specialist recruiter PRG has announced plans for further investment in their Northern Ireland operation, generating 13 new jobs in Belfast by the end of 2008.
Since it was established in 2004, PRG Belfast has experienced phenomenal success with an annual turnover of £2m and with a target of £3m for 2008; this trend looks likely to continue.
Founded in Edinburgh and Glasgow in 2002, PRG specialises in professional recruitment to companies, which operate in commerce and industry, the professions and financial services. Their main areas of focus include accountancy, finance, law and senior management.
PRG’s overall turnover is on target for £7m in 2007, up from £4m last year.
Managing Director, Steve McCutcheon is in no doubt that the company’s unique qualities have contributed to its great success and said: “We are a recruitment company that’s specialised and independent; but operated to the highest standards; - big company standards, small company culture.”
With the company constantly growing, physical space has been an issue and Mr McCutcheon said: “We have had the drive, the ambition and the talent to create growth, but simply not enough people or capacity.”
Consequently £3m has been invested in new offices in select locations in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast, in line with PRG’s policy of creating an excellent working environment, as well as industry-beating rewards for its staff.
Mr McCutcheon believes this level of expansion without the dilution of quality of staff will enable PRG to enter into a new phase, potentially moving into senior level recruitment in the health and local government sectors.
Mr McCutcheon said: “We are successful for one reason – we are good at what we do and we provide value to our clients. Our people know that and I believe an increasing number of top rank recruitment professionals are going to want to be part of it.”
