Pensioner Injured In Petrol Bomb Attack

A 65-year-old man has suffered minor injuries in a petrol bomb attack at his home in west Belfast.

Larry McGrady was in bed in his Erris Grove flat when a device was thrown through a bedroom window at about 3.00am on Tuesday.

The pensioner managed to extinguish the fire but suffered minor burns and cuts from broken glass.

Mr McGrady said he did not know why he had been targeted but he did claim that he has been threatened before.

Police say that they do not believe that the attack was sectarian and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
