Barman Denies Raping Woman

A 21-year-old barman has appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court charged with the rape of a 20-year-old woman in the University area of south Belfast.

Conor Magee, from Dunblane Avenue in the city, denies the charge.

Police were informed of the alleged rape in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The woman was attacked in Canterbury Street on Thursday and Mr Magee was granted bail under the condition he does not enter Shaftesbury Square or Botanic Avenue and does not contact the woman involved.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Teenager charged with raping woman
A teenager has appeared in court today charged with the rape of a woman and attempted rape of her six-year-old daughter in Co Antrim. The 17-year-old male faced 15 charges linked to a break-in at a house in Lisburn in the early hours of Saturday morning.
