Teenager In Court Over Attempted Murder At Weekend

A 19-year-old man is due in court over an attempted murder charge at the weekend in south Down.

The victim was stabbed in an assault in the Square area of Warrenpoint at around 4.20am early Saturday morning. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Police arrested two men after the incident occurred.

A second man, aged 20, has been charged with assaulting police.

Both are due to appear at Newry court this morning.

Man Shot And Beaten In Bushmills Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of following a shooting incident in the Woodvale Park area of Bushmills last night, Wednesday 11th May. Shortly after 11.10pm it was reported that a number of masked men entered a house armed with a gun and "wooden weapons".
