Man Released In West Belfast Murder Case

The man who was questioned and later arrested by officers investigating the death of a woman in west Belfast has now been released without charge.

However, police have now said that the woman, identified as Theresa Gray, whose body was discovered in a house in Twinbrook, was murdered.

The body of the widowed mother-of-five was discovered in the bedroom of a house in the Magnolia Park earlier this week.

Her six-year-old daughter Kelly was in the house when the PSNI arrived and officers took her from the scene.

Neighbours reported hearing the youngster telling officers "Mummy is sleeping". She is understood to be staying with relatives now.

The 48-year old, who also leaves four sons - Martin, Mark, Paul and Michael - lived in the Juniper Park area of Twinbrook with Kelly. She also leaves behind a grandson Conor.

When officers arrived, they discovered Mrs Gray's body in the bedroom of the house. Her brother Patrick Fox said he "couldn't believe" his sister was dead.

Sinn Fein councillor, Angela Nelson, said Mrs Gray's family has been left " traumatised" by her sudden death.

"The little girl didn't even know her mummy had died," she told the Sun.
