Border Road Crash Claims Young Life

A young man, aged 21, has been killed and three other people have been injured in a car accident near Muff, County Donegal, just across the border with Northern Ireland.

The man who died is believed to have been driving. No other vehicle was involved in the crash which happened at Drumhaggart at 4.30am on Sunday.

One of the injured is in a critical condition and has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Another is in a serious condition in Letterkenny Hospital and the third is ill but stable in Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.

Stabbing At Belfast College
Two people have been stabbed in an incident at the Millfield campus of Belfast Metropolitan College. One of the injured men is described as being in a critical condition, according to reports. The second injured man is understood to have been detained by police at the scene of the incident and is being treated as a suspect.

Five die on NI roads over the weekend
Five people have died on Northern Ireland's roads over the weekend. In Co Tyrone last night, two people died when a car and a four-wheel-drive collided just outside the village of Augher. A woman passenger in the car is still in critical condition following the accident.

Belfast Man Handed Two-Year Stalking Protection Order
The PSNI have welcomed a two-year Stalking Protection Order (SPO) handed down to a 46-year-old Belfast man at Belfast Magistrates Court. The man had been found guilty of stalking and harassing his 50-year-old female ex-partner.
