Antrim Bomb Find Probed
An explosive device, believed to be a pipe bomb has been found at a house in Antrim town.
It was found in Somerset Park in the town's Rathenraw estate on Thursday morning, around 1am, following a number of searches in the vicinity.
Army technical officers removed the device for further examination.
Police said a sectarian motive linked to a possible bomb attack was one line of inquiry.
Their investigations are continuing and they have urged the public to be vigilant.
A PSNI spokesperson has asked that anyone who notices anything suspicious is to report it to the police as soon as possible.

Suspect package declared a hoax
A suspect device found in north Belfast on Friday has been declared a hoax. The package was discovered at a telephone control box on Glenview Street. Army bomb experts were immediately called in and the area between Old Park Road and Park View Court was immediately sealed off. It has since been reopened.

Suspect device an elaborate hoax
A suspicious device which was found in a Co Armagh town on Tuesday has been declared an elaborate hoax. Army bomb experts secured an area around Kinelowen Street in Keady and carried out two controlled explosions on the suspect package.

Viable Pipe Bomb Found In North Belfast
A viable pipe bomb has been found in north Belfast, police have confirmed. Police and army bomb experts discovered the device in the garden of a house in Shore Crescent on Monday. The pipe bomb has been removed for further examination. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Lisburn On Alert As Pipe Bomb Explodes
There's an ongoing security alert in progress in Lisburn, Co Antrim after a pipe bomb device exploded at 9.30am this morning. A family escaped injury in the blast and the PSNI have said this afternoon that is not clear if the explosion occurred when the car drove over it, or that it had fallen off the vehicle.

Further Violence Blights Ballyclare
There has been a fresh incidence of trouble in the Co Antrim town of Ballyclare with a petrol bomb thrown at a house. The device was thrown at the property on the Doagh Road around 7pm on Sunday and caused damage to guttering after two people were seen running away from the rear of the premises.
