Sinn Fein 'Spy Driver' Held In Protective Custody
A former driver to Sinn Fein has been taken into protective custody by MI5.
It's alleged that the man, who comes from west Belfast, was an informer for the security services when he worked with Gerry Adams and other senior Sinn Fein members over a number of years.
A senior republican source has told UTV that they were disappointed but not surprised about the revelation as they had their suspicions.
In fact, suspicions were so great that they had the man sidelined toward the end of his service. Sinn Fein have commented that the man was never privy to sensitive information.
The party have also said the driver had never been a member of the party and added that he was "not under any threat from republicans".
