Logistics Ireland 2002 set for the Waterfront Hall

Logistics Ireland are set to hold their first all-Ireland annual conference at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast, on October 17.

This year's conference, the organisation's fifth, is expected to provide invaluable knowledge for all those associated in the supply chain management, particularly company directors, senior management, logistic managers and SCM managers.

The conference, themed ‘Supply chain management is the island of Ireland’s greatest opportunity for global competitiveness and economic growth’, will focus on how to develop Ireland’s competitive edge through supply chain management.

Throughout the day, various business sectors, from pharmaceutical and food to packaging and IT, will be represented by major players from multinational and indigenous companies. The speakers will give visitors the tools to learn, capitalise and develop their own company’s supply chain management strategy.

Delegates will hear from international speakers, discussing effective supply chain management and the latest international trends, and case studies of the experiences of award-winning companies with proven excellence in supply chain management. There will also be a panel discussion with a highly experienced panel and a major exhibition of various supply chain management service providers and advisors.

There will also be an “icebreakers dinner”, which will be held on the eve of the conference at the Hilton Hotel, to provide visitors with the chance to talk to speakers and other delegates.
