Arrests Follow Off Sales Robbery
A man has been charged with possession of a firearm and armed robbery after an off-licence in the Cromac Street area of Belfast was held up on Friday night. Around 9.15pm the police received a report the premises had been entered by two men, one armed with a handgun and were told they forced staff to hand over cash before escaping into the Gasworks complex. The 45-year-old is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.
Omagh Shop Robbed
A knife-wielding masked man has robbed a supermarket in Omagh. He held-up the store on the Old Mountfield Road about 9.30pm on Friday and forced a member of staff to hand over cash. Police described him as being about 6ft tall and thin and had a local accent. He was wearing a dark hooded top, combat trousers and gloves.
Three Hurt In Carrick Trouble
It has been revealed that a woman injured in ongoing trouble in the Co Antrim town of Carrickfergus suffered a serious head injury after a man attacked her and two men with what is believed to have been a bar or stick. The victim, who is in her 30s, is not thought to have a life-threatening injury, while the two men, who are aged 17 and 37 were hurt too. The incident happened in the town's Pinewood Avenue just after 1am on Sunday.
Party Was A Riot
Trouble broke out at a Derry birthday party at the weekend. Police were called to a house in the Carnhill area on Friday night with officers then attacked with stones and bottles. The police later said that a 15-year-old boy was charged with riotous behaviour following the disturbance, which they said was a 17th birthday party. The boy is to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court later this month.
New Head Of Enterprise NI
A new head of Enterprise Northern Ireland, who will "greatly enrich and stimulate enterprise growth", has been appointed. Gordon Gough's appointment as Chief Executive has been welcomed by NI Economy Minister Nigel Dodds, who wished Mr Gough success in his new role. Enterprise NI, established in 2000, represents the network of 32 local enterprise agencies in Northern Ireland.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
