Road Accident Claims 100-Year-Old

A road accident has killed a 100-year-old man in Belfast.

The victim - named as Grainger McIldoon - died in hospital on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when a vehicle was in collision with Mr McIldoon outside a care home on Tennent Street.

A police spokesperson appealed for witnesses to come forward with information.

Meanwhile, four people have been injured following an overnight road accident near Draperstown.

A car was in collision with a quad bike on the Droon Road on Wednesday evening.

A police spokesperson confirmed four people have been injured following the incident and were taken to hospital. One is said to be in a serious condition.

Police in Magherafelt are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.

A total of 60 people have died on Northern Ireland's roads so far this year.

Meanwhile, Irish police in Listowel, Co. Kerry are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at 2am this morning.

The Gardaí said that a car with three male occupants lost control and collided with a ditch at Bunghara and that two of the occupants were taken to Kerry General Hospital, Tralee where the 18 year-old male backseat passenger was pronounced dead.

Man Dies In Workplace Accident In Co Armagh
