Road Up

The Roads Service has announced plans to start 1.5km of resurfacing work on the A12 Westlink. The resurfacing is just outside the boundary of the current upgrade works, and is between York Street and Divis Street. The works will run from 2 to 25 August 2008.

Mark McPeak, Roads Service's Project Manager, said: "These essential works will strengthen the Westlink so that it can carry today's very high traffic volumes, provide good skidding resistance, an even running surface, prevent the formation of surface defects and will reduce road noise thereby improving the safety and comfort of road users."
