Disruption At 'Elaborate' Bomb Hoax in City
Police came under attack during a security alert in north Belfast last night.
Officers attended the scene of a suspicious device in Ballygomartin, and were set upon by a gang of youths throwing missiles and fireworks.
Army bomb disposals experts dealt with the device in Forthriver Drive - while police fended off the youngsters.
The trouble was ended when community representatives supported the police's operation.
The device was declared a deliberate and elaborate hoax.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.

Police in Comber are appealing for information after army technical officers were called to examine a suspicious device found outside a house in Railway Street in the town. The device was declared a hoax at around 4am on Thursday following a detailed examination.

Man Arrested In Connection With 1992 Police Officer Murder
A 59-year-old man has been arrested at Birmingham Airport in connection with a fatal mortar attack in Newry in 1992. The man was arrested on Wednesday, 21 February by detectives from PSNI's Legacy Investigation Branch, investigating the murder of Constable Colleen McMurray and the attempted murder of her colleague in 1992.
