Ards Car Blaze Probed
An appeal for information has gone out as the PSNI probe the cause of a weekend fire in Co Down which left almost all of the nine vehicles affected totally destroyed.
Most of the cars were gutted in the blaze in Newtownards yesterday.
The cars were discovered burnt out at the yard in the Quarry Heights area of the town.
The vehicles damaged by the fire included three 3 series BMWs, one 5 series BMW and two Mazda cars.
Police sealed off the site for a time yesterday while evidence was gathered.
A police spokeswoman said an investigation is currently under way, adding that officers believed the incidents to be linked.
Anyone with information about the incident or who may be able to help police with their enquiries is asked to contact the PSNI on 0845 600 8000.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.

Armed Robber Dresses As Police Officer
Police are searching for two men in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a shop in Co Armagh. Police said that one of the men who attempted to rob the shop on West Street, Portadown, was dressed as a policeman. It is understood two men entered the shop at about 10am on Thursday, one of them was carrying a suspected firearm.
