TV 'Apprentice' To Aid Local Businesses
One of Britain's top business consultants will be visiting Belfast later this month, to share her expertise with local entrepreneurs.
Ruth Badger - best known for her appearance on BBC TV's 'The Apprentice' - (pictured) will be the special guest speaker at a conference organised by Belfast City Council to mark European Day of the Entrepreneur on 19 November.
With the theme, 'Bridging Borders to Develop Enterprise', the conference, at the Ormeau Baths Gallery, will look at best practice locally, nationally and internationally in stimulating business growth and innovation.
The conference will feature a series of workshops and panel discussions featuring a number of top local business people. The highlight will be a motivational speech by Ruth Badger in the afternoon.
The same day, Ruth Badger will host a question-and-answer session for young people aspiring to make their way in the business world.

Over 400,000 Spend Local Applications Complete On Day One
More than 400,000 applications for the Spend Local were completed on the first day of the scheme, Economy Minister Gordon Lyons has announced, describing the response as "formidable". The portal for applications to the High Street Scheme opened on Monday.

Half of Govt Contracts Secured By Small Businesses
More than half of Government contracts in Northern Ireland have been won by small businesses, it has been announced. The figures were revealed by Finance Minister Simon Hamilton as he spoke to over 650 suppliers at the annual InterTradeIreland (ITI) 'Meet The Buyer' event in Belfast today.

Communities Minister Gordon Lyons has announced a £150,000 investment for a Festive Lighting Scheme, which aims to significantly enhance the existing Christmas decorations in the town centres of Ballymena, Larne, and Carrickfergus.
