A Larne man has denied involvement in the death of another man from the Co Antrim town.
The 35-year-old appeared in court charged in connection with the murder of Kenneth Nicholl last weekend.
Troy McAuley from Herbert Avenue appeared before Coleraine Magistrates Court today (Monday).
A detective inspector who arrested Mr McAuley said he could connect him to the charge and the accused was remanded in custody until 21 November.
However a defence lawyer asked the detective to confirm that during 19 police interviews the defendant denied any involvement and he said that Mr McAuley had made no comment and no admissions.
It also emerged today that a woman arrested on suspicion of withholding information was released without charge.
The victim, Mr Nicholl, 29, was found stabbed to death at the back of Herbert Avenue at 8am on 2 November.
Mr Nicholl's body was found in an alley off Herbert Avenue, near to where he lived, last Sunday morning.
The 28-year-old father-of-one had been repeatedly stabbed in the attack.
