Police rescue woman from house fire
Police have rescued a woman from a house fire in Millisle, County Down.
The fire at a bungalow in the costal resort of Millisle was noticed at around 11.30 pm on Sunday, June 9.
With the assistance of a neighbour, police rescued the woman by breaking a window in the back door and taking the woman to safety.
The fire caused serious damage to a living room and smoke damage to other rooms the bungalow.
The woman who was taken to hospital is said to be stable.

NI's Chief Fire Officer Announces His Retirement
The Chief Fire Officer for Northern Ireland, Peter Craig, has announced that he is to retire after over 35 years of distinguished Service. Peter Craig is one of the longest serving officers in Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and was appointed as Chief Fire Officer in February 2011, having been the acting Chief from July 2010.

An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.
