Belfast Cocaine Haul

A man has been arrested in Co Down in relation to a drugs seizure in Belfast.

The 33-year-old was detained by officers after a large quantity of cocaine was found in the city. Police said the man, who was arrested in Bangor last night, is being quizzed about the haul, which is believed to have an estimated street value of £350,000.

A spokeswoman for the PSNI said the suspect has been held on suspicion of importing the class A drug to Northern Ireland.

Police have yet to say where in Belfast the drugs were found.

Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.

Investigation Launched After Man Found Dead In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead at a property in north Belfast. A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after the discovery in the Antrim Road area on Tuesday, 24 January. He has been released on bail pending further inquiries. A post-mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Three men arrested in separate drugs finds
Three men have been arrested following separate drugs finds in Belfast and Co. Londonderry on Monday. A 38-year-old man was arrested following the discovery of drugs, worth an estimated £50,000, in east Belfast. He was subsequently charged with being in possession cannabis with intent to supply following the drugs seizure at Garnerville.
