Odyssey Attack Investigated

Detectives in Belfast were this morning looking into the circumstances surrounding a vicious assault in the east of the city, which has left a teenage with serious head injuries.

Officers sealed-off the scene, at the front of the Odyssey arena complex, following the attack.

The 19-year-old victim is believed to have been set upon by two men some time after midnight this morning.

The pair left the young man with serious head injuries. The victim has been hospitalised, with his condition described as not life threatening.

A police cordon has remained around the box office area at the popular clubbing and concert venue.

Police have appealed for information about the attack.

Teens Held As West Belfast Death Probed
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in west Belfast. He was Seamus Fox, a 58-year-old who lived at Horn Drive, off the Suffolk Road. Two 18-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the shock killing which police said was the result of a "very brutal attack".
