Entrants sought for National Training 'Oscars'

UK SKILLS is calling on all firms who have achieved lasting excellence through training to enter the National Training Awards (NTA) before the May 17 deadline.

The Awards are recognised as the pinnacle of achievement in this field, and have been running since 1986. To mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee this year's ceremony will feature a special Award, which recognises training that benefits the community. Any firm or individual can enter the Awards, providing the training took place mainly in the UK.

Linda Ammon, Chief Executive of UK SKILLS who manage the Awards, said: “It is a shame that the excellent work and achievements of those involved in training are so often overlooked.

"Many firms have achieved spectacular results based on very limited resources and some of our past winners have seen their training procedures adopted as best practice. They are a shining example to others and deserve the recognition of a much wider audience. This is what NTA is all about and I would urge all those eligible to enter and gain recognition for all their hard work.”

Firms interested in entering for the Awards can do so by calling on Tel: 0800 917 7337
