Lisburn Murder Inquiry Launched

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a 20-year-old man in Lisburn at the weekend.

Darren Roberts was fatally stabbed while in the Millbrook Road area of city during the early hours of Saturday.

One other 18-year-old male also sustained a stab wound to his side, but his injury is not thought to be life threatening at this time.

Three males, aged 23, 21, and 20 years have been arrested and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have been driving through or in the area of Millbrook Road, Queen's Road or Seymour Street around 1.45am on Saturday morning, and noticed a disturbance, or the men being attacked, to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
