Reflex Successfully Doubles Workforce

Reflex Mouldings with support from Invest Northern Ireland has just completed a major investment programme that has almost doubled the company’s workforce from 30 to 57.

Established in 1998 Reflex Mouldings, based in Markethill, manufactures a range of car accessory products including car mats, mud flaps and number plates.

The company has recently diversified its product range to create a new interlocking PVC floor tile for the construction sector and a new acrylic number plate, the first of its kind ever produced in the UK.

Paul Hurson, Managing Director of Reflex Mouldings, said: “This project represents a highly significant phase in our development as a company. Not only has it almost doubled our workforce but it has allowed us to reach new export markets, create additional revenue streams and extend our client base.”

A strong exporter, with external sales accounting for 97% of total turnover, Reflex Mouldings has as a result of the investment programme and a comprehensive pro-active marketing strategy managed to secure new and profitable export contracts from as far afield as the United Arab Emirates, USA and throughout Europe.

Commenting on the success of the company Mark Bleakney, Manager of Invest NI’s southern local office, said: “By diversifying its product range and focusing on a tailored marketing strategy Reflex Mouldings has been able to tap into a number of lucrative export markets. The company’s continued success is a testament to its strong management team and their commitment to innovative product development.”

Over the past two years the company has received a wide range of assistance from Invest NI including marketing and product development support, a management salary grant and a loan totalling £50,000 under the Green Technology Initiative - designed to help companies reduce waste, become more efficient and profitable.
