Publication Date For Troubles Group Report Revealed

A report advising how to deal with the legacy of the Troubles is to be published on January 28, it has been revealed.

The Consultative Group on the Past, which is chaired by Lord Eames and Denis Bradley, was originally due to publish the final report last summer.

The report is widely expected to recommend the creation of a commission to investigate unsolved murders carried out during the conflict.

During the last 18 months, the group has met with more than 100 individuals and groups and received more than 250 written submissions.

The group is made up of a range of people from across Northern Ireland and is supported by international advisers.
