Man Arrested In Connection With Fatal 'Stabbing'

A man has been arrested following the death of a woman in Dublin last night.

A 28-year-old woman was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital with serious injuries and died a short time later.

A Gardai spokesman from Donnybrook said its officers were "investigating a fatal stabbing which occurred at Ranelagh Road, Dublin 6 at approximately 7.00pm last night".

According to reports, the woman was found in a building that is used by Dublin City Council as part of a resettlement accommodation programme for homeless men.

It is understood the woman was visiting the complex at the time of the attack.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently detained at Donnybrook Garda Station under the Criminal Justice Act.

A post mortem will be carried out this morning at Dublin City Morgue.

The scene of the incident remains sealed off pending a Garda Technical Examination.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. Woman Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing In Dublin
Gardaí investigating a fatal stabbing in Dublin on Saturday have arrested a woman. It is understood that a 36-year-old man died from stab wounds sustained in an incident in Phibsboro Road at about 22:30. The man was pronounced dead at the Mater Hospital. Garda are holding a woman, aged in her 40s, in connection with the incident.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Man Greg Ward
Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested And Firearm Seized
A firearm has been seized and a man arrested in Crumlin, Dublin. According to gardaí, they were investigating reports of criminal damage at Rutland Grove when they witnessed a row break out between a number of men. The firearm was seized from one of the men involved in the row and he was subsequently arrested.
