Dublin Airport Cancels Freezing Flights
Dublin Airport has cancelled and delayed number of flights following freezing weather conditions.
Passengers are being advised to contact their airline or handling agent before coming to the airport as 12 Aer Lingus flights have been cancelled, as well as one British Airways flight and an Air France flight.
Ryanair has also had to cancel nine of its departures and a further nine arrivals because of the weather conditions, and has blamed the Dublin Airport Authority for the closure of the Airport.
Ryanair's Stephen McNamara said: "They mismanaged the clearing of the runway yesterday and failed again last night to clear the ramps and aircraft parking areas, which is causing multiple delays and cancellations today."
Other passengers at Dublin Airport are experiencing delays up to an hour, according to Dublin Airport Authority.
The DAA said that in the apron area where people access the aircraft, slush has turned to severe ice, which is making it difficult to get passengers on board.
A spokesperson said that the normal de-icing process did not work and that contractors were drafted in with the priority of clearing the runways and taxiways.
Yesterday, more than 200 flights and thousands of passengers were affected by the conditions.

Dublin Airport Expects Passenger Surge This Weekend
Dublin Airport has said more than 285,000 passengers are expected to travel through its doors this Easter bank holiday weekend. Over the period of Friday 3 April until Monday 6 April, this would represent a 10% increase compared to Easter 2014.

Cork Airport Accepts Debt Deal
Cork Airport Authority (CAA) has put an end to their long-running dispute with Dublin Airport by accepting recommendations that it assume millions of euros in debt as the price of independence. Last night, the CAA held a crunch meeting and agreed 'in principle' to accept the debt, in return for its independent operations.

Flights Resume Following Fire At Dublin Airport
Flights have resumed at Dublin Airport following a fire at a hangar in a restricted area of the building. Flights were suspended for around 90 minutes while firefighters tackled a blaze at Hangar 3, which is in a restricted area separate from passengers facilities.
