Lotto Winners Revealed
Nine new millionaires faced the international press today, after scooping a £91m Euromillions jackpot at the weekend.
Two tickets bought in the UK shared the prize. Welsh couple Les Scadding and wife Samantha claimed £45.5m, while a Liverpool syndicate of seven IT workers will each enjoy a £6.5m boost to their bank balances.
The syndicate, which only formed four months ago, includes John Walsh, 57, James Bennett, 28, Sean Connor, 32, Alex Parry, 19, Emma Cartwright, 23, Ceri Scullion, 35 and Donna Rhodes, 39.
Mr Scadding, an unemployed mechanic, said he and his wife celebrated the news on Sunday with a meal at a local restaurant.
The couple plans to build a new house in south Wales, and replace their modest cars.
Meanwhile, the syndicate, dubbed 'the Magnificent Seven' said they expected bad news when they were telephoned by co-worker Mr Walsh on Sunday - namely redundancy.
"Thankfully I got to tell them some good news instead," he said.
