Commuters Appeal Follows Midlands Attack

West Midlands commuters could hold the key to catching a man who attacked a woman during rush hour, police have said.

The victim was walking home from work along Grange Road in Dorridge, at around 5pm on November 4 when she was followed by a man.

He then repeatedly struck her on the back of the head before fleeing the scene when the victim set off her panic alarm.

The attacker is described as being of average build and height, wearing a hooded top, dark coloured jacket and dark trousers.

"Police are appealing for any person who was passing through the area at this time, possibly people leaving work, who may have witnessed this assault or noticed a man fitting the description," said a West Midlands Police spokeswoman.
