Disabled Woman Robbed For Second Time
A West Midlands wheelchair user had been robbed in her home for the second time this year.
The latest intruder entered the disabled woman's Chelmsley Wood home at around 7.20pm last Thursday evening.
She was in the kitchen of her Bosworth Drive bungalow at the time.
The male walked up behind her, and demanded she handed over her purse.
Police said the woman, who uses a wheelchair, was uninjured but very shaken.
She fell victim to a similar incident on New Year's Day this year.
Extensive enquiries were carried out by officers in the West Midlands, however, no arrests were made.
Detective Constable Helen Ainsworth from Solihull CID said: "This is a very distressing case where a vulnerable woman has twice been robbed in the sanctuary of her own home, this year.
"The similarities between both robberies are striking which leads us to believe it could be the same offender who has returned to target this woman again.
"We urge anyone with knowledge of the attack to contact us so that this victim can see justice done, and can feel safe again."
The offender has used the pathways by Ely Close, Chelmsley Wood in order to make his escape. There is no description for this offender other than being in his mid twenties.
