River Hunt For Missing Woman Continues

Rescue teams are continuing to search a river in Wales following fears that a missing woman may have been swept away during the weekend's bad weather.

The search began when a friend of the 21-year-old woman contacted emergency services on Saturday night.

It is believed that the woman went into the River Usk near Watergate Bridge in Brecon, Powys, around 7pm that evening.

Police, mountain rescue teams and the fire and rescue service have all been involved in the search.

Four flood warnings and 19 flood watches remain on rivers across Wales following the recent severe weather which has struck several parts of the UK.
