Husband Held Over Newlywed Death

Police investigating the death of newlywed Vicky Roberts in Cheshire have arrested her husband.

Mrs Roberts, 25, was found dead in the garage of her home near Runcorn, Cheshire on Thursday, after her father had contacted police because he had not heard from her in a number of days.

Her husband, Michael Roberts, 26, was arrested in Wrexham, north Wales, on Sunday morning, following a police appeal.

Mr Roberts is due to be brought back to Cheshire for questioning.

The couple had married in June.

Body Found In River Identified As Megan Roberts
A woman's body found in the River Ouse, near York, has been confirmed as that of missing student Megan Roberts. North Yorkshire Police said a member of the public spotted the body at 3.30pm on Sunday, at Acaster Malbis, a village around five miles south of York.
