Arrested Over Missing Lancashire Girl
Police investigating the disappearance of a Lancashire teenager girl who disappeared two years have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
Paige Chivers, who would now be 17, has been missing from her home in Bispham since August 23, 2007. She disappeared following a family argument and has not been seen since.
A 51-year-old Blackpool man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently being questioned by detectives at Preston police station.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rothwell, from Lancashire Police's Major Investigation Team, said: "This is yet another development in our ongoing investigation as we continue to try and establish what has happened to Paige.
"Today's arrest demonstrates that despite the passage of time, we are still receiving new information into the enquiry team and the investigation continues to move forwards.
"We continue to keep an open mind and look for evidence as to what has happened to Paige."
Anyone with any information about the case is asked to contact police on: 01253 293933.
A £12,000 reward has been offered for any information which leads to identifying Paige's whereabouts or helps to successfully convict those responsible for her disappearance.

Two Arrested Over Missing Lancashire Schoolgirl
Two people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old schoolgirl Paige Chivers from Lancashire. Lancashire Police confirmed that a 53-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, both from Blackpool, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Woman Arrested At Heathrow On Terrorism Charges
A 25-year-old woman has been arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of terrorism offences. It is understood that the woman was travelling with her one-year-old son when officers arrested her as she disembarked a flight from Turkey. Police said her charges relate to offences in Syria.
