Prostitute Jailed For Killing Wife

A man has been sentenced to a minimum of 19 years in prison for murdering his wife and dumping her body inside a suitcase.

Paul Grabham, 26, had denied killing his 23-year-old wife Kirsty, whose body was left beneath the M4.

The couple had worked as prostitutes, operating from their Rosehill Terrace, Mount Pleasant, Swansea.

Grabham beat and straggled his wife of one year following a dispute on a night out in the city.

He then stuffed Kirsty's dead body into a suitcase, later leaving it on an isolated lane beneath an M4 bridge near Cefn Cribbwr, Bridgend.

Sentencing Grabhan, Judge Mr Justice Butterfield said: "Just a year after you promised to love and cherish your new bride you battered and strangled her to death.

"It was a vicious and sustained attack fuelled by drink and drugs.

"Even in death she was not given the decency and dignity to which she was without doubt entitled, you crammed her bleeding and still warm body into a suitcase and dumped it like so much rubbish into a place where you hoped it would not be found for many years."
