Teens Face False Imprisonment Charges

Three teenagers from Southampton have been charged with an alleged false imprisonment incident.

Bitterne detectives said the trio allegedly held a 23-year-old woman between February 7 and 10 against her will.

Two girls, aged 14 and 15, and a 17-year-old youth were arrested on February 17.

They were charged late Thursday night with conspiracy to inflict grievous bodily harm with intent, false imprisonment and forcing a woman to engage in sexual activity.

The 17-year-old faces a further charge of robbery.

All three appeared at Southampton youth court on Friday 19 February.

The trio were remanded in custody. Their next court appearance is expected on 25 February.

A 38-year-old Southampton man was arrested on 12 February on suspicion of kidnap, false imprisonment and inflicting actual bodily harm. He was bailed until 30 April.

A 47-year-old man has been charged with five counts of rape in connection with three incidents in Manchester. James Ziga, also known as Jaroslav, of Prestage Road in Old Trafford has also been charged with three counts of false imprisonment and two counts of attempted rape.

Six Men Charged With Terror-Related Offences
Scotland Yard have charged six men with terror and fraud offences. The men were arrested on 30 November in Dover and between 01 and 04 December in London. The men are said to range in age from 24 to 43, and five of the six are believed to be from London.

Schoolboy’s kidnappers jailed
A gang of kidnappers who abducted a schoolboy and demanded a £40,000 ransom have been jailed. The four kidnappers – Ravideen Babu, Singh Dhanoa, Amarjit Singh Dhariwar and Avisha Choudhry, all from Southall, west London – abducted the 11-year-old as he returned from school; Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court was told.

Capt Nairac Murder Accused 'Not Guilty'
An infamous IRA murder was in focus today with a Co Armagh man cleared of the murder of undercover soldier Captain Robert Nairac 33 years ago. Kevin Crilly, 60, from Jonesborough, was accused of the murder after the daring undercover Army officer was abducted from a bar at Drumintee in south Armagh in May 1977 before being killed.
