Huddersfield Drugs Swoop

Police in Huddersfield have arrested a 33-year-old woman and a 15-year-old male following a drugs raid at a house on Bradley Boulevard.

During the search yesterday, police said a substantial amount of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine was recovered from the premises.

Both were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and released on bail pending further enquiries.

In the last week alone, the specialist drugs team in Kirklees have seized £103,500 worth of drugs from around the district, as well as 25 shotgun cartridges. They have arrested six people for drugs offences and recovered 3 stolen vehicles.

Sergeant Ian Thornes said: "We are committed to acting on information received from members of the Kirklees Community involving drug offences and the possession of illegally held firearms.

"All information received is researched and whenever possible, action is taken against those involved."
